Theme 2: Colour of Care

In conjunction with Black History Month we are dedicating October's activities to 'The Colour of Care'.

There are many important topics to cover including health differences between ethnicities, the overrepresentation of non-white groups in care work and understanding what it means to be politically 'black' and an in need of support in the community.

Take a look at the livestreams, Q&As and talks we have organised below. There is loads to get involved with, including Bristol's deputy mayor Cllr Asher Craig, Cedi Frederick and Tricia Pereira from the BAME social care government task force, charities, provider forums and more!

Don't forget to subscribe wherever you are watching to get a notification, then send in anything you want us ask (or look at)!!

First, here's Nilaari a BAME led mental health focussed care charity working to promote dignity, trust and choice for non-white groups in need of support.

Second, we have Symone Stuart and Louise Christie from workforce development organisation Skills for Care.

Next up: Cedi Frederick and Tricia Pereira. They were instrumental in organising and delivering work for the Taskforce's BAME advisory Group.
